Sensei Brad Hamel has been training in karate since 1983 and holds a 5th degree black belt and the title of Renshi in Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Karate. Sensei Hamel  is well known for his Women's self-defense classes, Kobudo or traditional weapons training and holds an International Police Instructor certificate. He has traveled to Okinawa to train with the masters many  times.
